I am looking into the self activating wp mode in toolset now that Zach thankfully reported about. First step is to try and replicate the issue.. investigating :)

I have been hammering at wp mode on a single area and it appears to be stable and working.

Trouble starts though with two areas open... suddenly I cannot leave wp mode anymore. A first little hint for identifying and debugging this one...

1. WP mode on in first area for Prop A (already placed)
2. Open second area
3. Select new prop and try to palce it (wihtout leaving WP mode first)
4.. Instead WP is placed for Prop A, prop B remains glued to mouse cursor
5. Not possible to click anothe rbutton now to leave WP mode

This is what I currently see - now, how to fix it  ?

Good sleuthing. I couldn't figure out what the pattern was myself.

IB v180 released - no liabilities, no warranties, use at your own risk:

- fixed/tried to fix the bugs with wp (waypoint) mode in the toolset that Zach thankfully made me aware of; it's much more robust in scenarios where you have multiple areas open at once; still, as there are many possible constellations we may very well find more bugs with wp mode

I am back to guide writing (moving props and waypoint interface in toolset) for now...

Slow but steady progress on the movers guide... the process of writing reveals to me how complex the systems have become. That's a bit intimidating, but also makes me excited big time to put all this functionality on the road finally in a campaign of my own (vs endless engine and toolset tinkering). The day will come  ...

I am super excited to see what you come up with in your campaign when that day comes!

Hehe, thank you, Jer. It will be great fun and even feature creeping me feels there's not soo much more left to do with engine and toolset before starting campaign building.

That said, the mover guide is finally complete. I might fix some typos or add minor details in the next few days, but the vast majority of content I wanted to cover is in it now (including coverage of the new waypoint interface in the toolset).

I am looking into getting the main map animation system (walking, breathing, idle) into the encounters (who already have standard position and attack position). This will get tricky, I think, harf  ...
