Okay, here are some statistics. I figure I'm about a third of the way done at this point, though I've fallen a little behind with some of the area-building. Still, it's the writing and testing that always takes longest!

FINISHED/TARGET
22/81 exterior area maps
5/20 enemy blueprints
3/5 musical compositions
2/4 herbal remedies
37/?? conversations
1/1 companion
3/3 companion powers
7/8 PC powers
20/20 PC traits
7/18 PC portraits
56/?? tree tiles
13/?? magic items
2/3 spirits of the woods

Here's a link to one of the tracks:

That's a very impressive project scope, ZAch. Wow, 81 exterior maps planned and 37 convos already done, so much work and commitment in this.

The track and the the graphic shown during the video are very inspiring. The place-creature hybrid looks menacing and mysterious. Nice touch with the red eyes  .

Thanks! I went back and forth about the eyes, so I'm glad you like them. More to do...

Image

Update: I'm introducing color! It just makes it more appealing, and I've gotten much faster with making graphics.

The color looks great and really pops. I was able to open the image by right clicking and opening the link. The details on the trees and building are amazing. I wonder where this cottage may be and how it fits in to the story :D

Can open it, too, now - wow, that's really beautiful! It's so much easier to grasp the scene with the colours added. The amount of detail unveiled this way is staggering and the play with perspectives, eg using the background scenery, is wonderfully done. Great job!

This had a lot to do with the overhaul. I had some young relatives playing the game at Thanksgiving. One of them asked, "Can I step into that crack?" -- and I had meant "that crack" to be a bush.
